Ridgecrest Village is a Life Care community, offering our residents a broad spectrum of health care services, ranging to Wellness seminars to 24-hour health care in our own Crest Health Center; right on the premises. No matter what the future brings, you can rest assured that the highest quality care will be available to you with a minimum disruption to your lifestyle.

 

 

Crest Health Center

Crest Health Center; connected to the main building, offers many services including:

	Blood pressure checks
	Hearing and Eye care
	Podiatry
	Pacemaker evaluations
	Hemocult and glucose tests
	Flu shots
	Vaccinations
	Diet and nutrition programs
	Rehabilitation programs
	Physical, occupational and speech therapy

Care in our 137-bed facility is available on a short or long-term basis. To cover this range, service is provided at one of three levels: skilled nursing, intermediate nursing and personal care. No matter what level you require, you will be treated to a semi private room at no increase in cost beyond your regular monthly fee. The only charges you incur during your stay in the Health Center are the cost of two additional meals per day, medical supplies, prescription drugs and physician charges.

 

"Wellness " and Supportive Services

 

Our "Wellness" services and clinics focus on prevention through physical and mental health and are available at no additional charge. Examples of these services include blood pressure tests, physician referrals and educational programs covering topics such as diet, exercise and mental health. Other Supportive Health Services are personalized to meet individual needs and are available for a small fee. They are designed to enable the resident to continue enjoying an independent lifestyle in his/her own apartment. These services include: physical therapies, meal delivery, medication monitoring, and personal care services.

 

Physician Care

Ridgecrest residents may select a physician of their choice. Ridgecrest will provide free transportation to physician appointments.

 

Emergency Services

By dialing "0" on your telephone in your cottage or apartment, you can summon emergency professional help immediately. Nurses are on duty 24 hours a day, and physicians are available for emergency consultation when notified by the nursing staff.

 

Hospitalization

Major surgery and certain medical treatments that require hospitalization may be performed at the hospital of your choice.

 

Insurance Coverage

The basic nursing care services provided in our Life Care plan are paid for in advance as part of your monthly fee. To cover additional medical expenses such as acute care costs and physician charges, we require residents to carry Medicare (parts A and B) and at least one tie-in supplemental insurance policy.
