Director of Nursing

This position is responsible for nursing care activities and administrative functions of the Department in accordance with policies and procedures of the facility and accepted nursing standards. Additionally, he/she is responsible for employee management, screening, orientation, scheduling, and supervision. The Director of Nurses will work directly with residents and Ridgecrest staff to ensure that the nursing care needs of residents are being met. He/She is responsible for the effective operation of the Nursing Department.

Must be licensed in the State of Iowa with at least 5 years’ experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.  Supervisory experience preferred. Must possess and display leadership and management ability and a dedication to high quality standards.  Maintains and manages a nursing staff capable of meeting all Ridgecrest Village standards for quality, efficient resident/resident care.  Evaluates work performance of nursing staff. Directs the delivery of resident care.  Investigates events and situations which impact on resident care service.  Ensures nursing staff meet mandated requirements established by federal, state and local regulations.

Assists the Administrator with the development, justification, and maintenance of department budget.  Serves on various committees of the organization.  Plans and participates in developing policies, orientation, and in-service training.

MDS Coordinator

Our MDS Coordinator will assess and evaluate the quality of care being given to long-term care residents.
• Perform the initial interview and assess new residents.
• Develop a care plan that has long-term and short-term goals for improvement.
• Conduct meetings with multidisciplinary treatment teams, caretakers, and families
• Reach out to specialists within the community to get help in achieving care plan goals.
MDS coordinator responsibilities could include preparing and electronically transmitting timely reports to the national Medicare and Medicaid database. Ensuring the accuracy of medical records and coding procedures is essential for a facility to receive proper reimbursement. You will become a residents’ rights advocate to ensure that each resident is aware of his or her legal rights.
RN – must be licensed in the state of Iowa or compact state with ability to work in the state of Iowa
Experience: 1 – 2 years of experience preferred.

The RN Wellness Director

Responsible for the daily functions of the assisted living and village home services nursing care activities in accordance with policies and procedures of the facility and accepted nursing standards. He/She will have major responsibilities for resident service plans. Additionally, he/she will assist in employee management, department orientation, scheduling, and supervision. RN Wellness Director will work directly with residents and Ridgecrest staff to ensure that the nursing care needs to residents are being met. Security & Maintenance Worker

Responsible for the security of the residents, staff and property during his/her assigned shift. Certain maintenance/custodial duties as assigned. Hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 4pm to 12am, Monday and Tuesday from 11:30pm until 7:30am.

Receives verbal and written physician orders. Transcribes verbal orders on physician order sheets. Reports to and assists physicians per physician and Director of Nurses request. Reviews physician orders to ensure accuracy in completing orders. Administers medications and treatments as ordered by physician. Admits, discharges or transfers residents per supervisor’s request. Provides nursing assessment and care to residents per request of Director of Nurses, physician or in emergency situations. Instructs residents in self-help and self-care. Performs tests and other diagnostic work on residents as ordered by physicians. Informs Director of Nurses of significant changes in resident conditions. Must have active Iowa license.

Servers will operate dishwasher, washes pots and pans, puts away dishes, utensils and pots and pans. Servers will sweep and mop floors.
